Transforming Charity: Fund A Cure

In 1970, a small group of parents incapable of accepting a future with diabetes founded JDRF.  These parents made a promise to their children to raise money for diabetes research.  And to this day, their hopes and dreams are unwavering, as JDRF has funded nearly $1.2 billion to diabetes research.

At The Promise Ball on January 23, 2010, there will be a moment when the room is stilled and the story of hope unfolds… it is called Fund A Cure.  It is the opportunity to donate directly to research and fund the science that will transform charity and change the lives of our family members and friends with type 1 diabetes.

Here is how JDRF Fund A Cure works:

  • The auctioneer will call out various funding levels, starting at $50,000 and ending at $100.
  • When you hear the level which you wish to make a contribution, simply raise your bid card until your bid number is recorded.
