For Adults
Because half of those diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are adults, and because children do grow up, it is estimated that over 80% of all those living with T1D are adults.
JDRF has a plethora of resources for newly diagnosed adults and adult who have been living with diabetes for years.
JDRF provides two printed resources, our Adult Type 1 Toolkits, one for those new to T1D, and those that have established diabetes. Inside these toolkits are helpful resources on management, socializing, traveling workplace and healthcare as well as many more topics!
You can choose and download your free copy, by clicking HERE. You will then receive your own hardcopy in the mail in the following weeks with more local information relevant to adults with T1D!

In the Desert Southwest Chapter, The Adult Type 1 Network connects adults living with T1D, their friends and family to others in our communities. Even if you have been living with T1D for decades, there is always something new to learn and to share with others. The Adult Type 1 Network provides information and social networking online through Facebook and Twitter as well as a Google Group, an email forum to post questions and respond. The Adult Type 1 Network also hosts quarterly social and educational events! If you would like to hear about upcoming events before everyone else, join our Google Group! For information on future events, check our events page! Make sure you receive event notices via email by contacting JDRF. Questions? Email Lawren Romero at eromero@jdrf.org.
