Third Party Event
An additional option to support JDRF is through events your company or community may already have in place. A Third Party Event is a fundraising event sponsored by an individual, organization or business in which the proceeds benefit JDRF and will be used to support vital research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. The sponsoring organization or individual undertakes most, if not all, of the work and is responsible for covering all of the related overhead costs. JDRF would like to be your “charity of choice” or beneficiary of a local event creating awareness and raising funds.
It doesn’t matter how large or small your plans are, examples of past successful events include:
- Chili Cook-off
- Yard Sales
- Book Sales
- Eating Contests
- Bowl A-Thon
- Wine Tasting
- Battle of the Bands
- Car Wash
- Crop & Shop to Cure Diabetes (Scrapbooking)
