Glendale Walk

walk to cure diabetes

October 30, 2010
Walk to Cure Diabetes
ASU West Campus

Join the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for the first time in Glendale as we expand the Walk to Cure Diabetes. It’s “The Greatest Cause on Earth” and JDRF plans on going all out as we introduce Glendale to the Walk to Cure Diabetes!
JDRF has countless ways in which you and your teammates can become involved including:

  • Commit to a corporate sponsorship, available at various levels and have your company’s support witnessed by thousands of walkers.
  • Form an All Star Walk team with your company, friends and/or family. JDRF staff can help you strategize the best ways to raise funds as a team.
  • Contact your child’s school about hosting a walk on school grounds or raise funds and awareness through Kid’s Walk to Cure Diabetes.
  • Volunteer with JDRF before, on and after Walk Day. The Walk to Cure Diabeteswould not be possible without the volunteers that are needed to run the day smoothly.
  • Sell the signature JDRF paper sneakers in your company or local retailer.

Family Walk
The 2010 Walk to Cure Diabetes is just around the corner on Saturday, October 30th and we’re excited to be expanding the walk over to Glendale this year at the ASU West campus.  Get your walking shoes on, and get ready to hit the pavement for a fun filled day.

Last year the Phoenix Walk raised $1.3 million with the help of 19,500 walkers, and Family Walk Teams did their part, raising more than $509,000 for diabetes research. With a little teamwork, JDRF anticipates the 2010 Tempe & Glendale Walks will raise $1.8 million for diabetes research! So come one, come all, to The Greatest Cause on Earth”.
