As a national partner of JDRF for 20 years, Walgreens has raised more than $20 million for JDRF’s mission to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D) and their efforts in 2012 were just as intense. Throughout the month of July, local Walgreens stores had another successful scannables campaign raising funds for JDRF by selling paper sneaker icons at their registers. Stores began competitive campaigns to challenge other store locations in an effort to boost their sales. The display below gave customers a colorful visual and offered the customer an opportunity to sign their name in support of T1D research.
The Desert Southwest Chapter of JDRF is so appreciative to Walgreens for their longstanding and continued partnership in 2012. Not only did stores offer the sale of the paper sneaker icons at the register, many locations did other wrap around events like bake sales, bounce houses and car washes to raise additional funds for JDRF.
Thank you Walgreens for your continued support and creativity!
